15W-40 Full Synthetic Heavy-Duty Engine Oil

HD-15W-40 Full Synthetic

I-58 Lubricants 15W-40 provides better cold cranking properties and low temperature pumpability at -15°C compared to conventional and semi-synthetic lSW-40 products. That means it reaches critical engine parts faster than conventional and synthetic blend oils in colder temperatures, to minimize wear and make hard work easier in cold climates.

I-58 Lubricants demonstrate better low temperature flow in SAE J300 requirements including MRV (ASTM 04684) and CCS (ASTM 0S293)

Improved Oxidation Performance

Improved Oxidation Performance: I-58 Lubricants 15W-40 provides strong oxidation resistance in the new Volvo T-l3 test, controlling harmful acid buildup, and easily exceeding the API CK-4 limits for oxidation (Peak IR) and viscosity increase. With improved oxidation resistance comes better viscosity control, which helps maintain fuel economy. If the oil is not thickening up, then the fuel economy performance will be better maintained throughout the oil drain. Better oxidation performance also helps prevent deposits in the engine, in other words, maintains cleanliness and helps prevent acid buildup, which can cause corrosive wear in the engine.

Wear Protection Beyond CK-4 Standards

Wear Protection Beyond CK-4 Standards: There are two basic types of wear in an engine: mechanical and corrosive wear, which is found when acids form during the combustion process. Part of an engine oil’s responsibility is to protect against wear. In API industry wear tests, I-58 Lubricants 15W-40 didn’t just meet CK-4 specs, it demonstrated an 85% improvement in copper corrosion protection and 98% improvement in lead corrosion protection than required, an average of 50% more wear protection than required.
